hi all, i have a 2001 mk4 2.8 vr6 with an AUE engine. my abs unit has recently flagged up a longitudinal acceleration sensor electrical failure fault (01279) ive done some googling and have decided to replace the sensor however, i cant find it. all the repair manuals ive seen say its on the right side a pilar... not there, ive checked under the steering wheel and removed the glove box to no avail. if anyone can enlighten me i would be most grateful. FYI its left hand drive if that makes any difference.
