The new season is here and only a couple of weeks until the first round Festival of Power @ Santa Pod. Keep an eye out as we have more VR6's that ever this year, with 12v/24v/R32/R30 Turbo/Supercharged/NASP/Nitrous Golfs/Jettas and even a VR New Shape Beetle likely running anything down to 9 second. It's that time of year again, pre-season is coming up and there is still time for you to join us. What is the VWDRC? There are two classes in the VWDRC - Sportsman and Pro. Both are open to any vehicle that is either powered by a VAG-group engine or that is built around a VAG car/chassis. If your car is running quarter-mile times of 12.99 seconds or less then you are placed into the Pro class. What is bracket racing? Next weekend will be the final runs with the 2013 setup, After yesterday's Dyno session we knocked out 205.4@ the fly (164.3@wheels) and 311.7 (249.4) with the nitrous. I already have some uprated valve springs a short runner inlet manifold (to try out) and plan to do a bit of match porting, but just wondering I'm running a set of re-profiled Piper 263 cams which have been fine but since it's coming apart is there a set if cams which would be better suited. I launch at around 4k and spend the rest if the run around 5.5-6.5k so want sumit that will be good in that power band. Have also looked
